The next evolution of our original Katana 830. This new construction uses high modulus carbon to deliver an even more direct, super-stiff feel with the same Katana focus on speed, strength, and precision.

The Katana 830 High Modulus Carbon Mast is the next evolution of our original Katana 830 construction—built for riders who want the most locked-in, high-performance feel possible. This updated version introduces a new construction using high modulus carbon, delivering an even more direct connection with reduced twist and flex under load.

The Katana concept was inspired by traditional Japanese sword making. To forge the toughest blades, swordsmiths combined an outer layer of hard steel with a tougher core for strength. In the same spirit, Katana uses advanced carbon layups to create a mast that feels super-stiff, built for real-world riding, not just lab numbers.

Combined with one-piece construction and a slightly thicker performance profile, Katana is tuned to reduce twist and flex for a more precise ride—especially noticeable with larger wings where mast stiffness directly affects control, pump, and top-end confidence.

Katana also features slotted holes designed for countersunk titanium hardware for cleaner alignment and fitment. The taper-lock mast-to-fuse connection improves engagement and helps eliminate play by holding the mast mechanically—so you’re not relying on bolts alone to carry load.

Cover included — every Unifoil mast ships with a protective cover.
Bolts sold separately.

The next evolution of Katana.

High Modulus. Higher Connection.

A new construction built around high modulus carbon — engineered for riders who want the most locked-in, direct feel possible. Reduced twist, less flex under load, and a more immediate connection between your input and the foil. Same Katana focus on speed, strength, and precision. Sharper edge.

Forged like a blade.

Stiffness Where It Counts

Inspired by traditional Japanese sword making — hard outer layers wrapped around a tougher core. Advanced carbon layups, one-piece construction, and a slightly thicker performance profile work together to kill twist and flex. The difference shows up where it matters most: large wings at speed, where mast stiffness directly controls pump, precision, and top-end confidence.

Mechanical engagement. No play.

Taper-Lock Connection. Titanium Ready.

Slotted holes accept countersunk titanium hardware for cleaner alignment and tighter fitment. The taper-lock mast-to-fuse connection holds the mast mechanically — so load passes through the joint itself, not just the bolts. The result is a setup that stays locked in, ride after ride, with zero slop in the most critical interface on your foil.
