The Afterburner is UniFoil's high-performance tail — the thinnest, highest aspect ratio stabilizer we've ever made. Built from high-modulus carbon with a low-drag profile and a down-curved shape, the Afterburner is designed to speed up your foil, tighten your turns, and add precision to every carve. It's loose and responsive through direction changes, but holds confidently when you push through a turn.
Compared to the Progression tails, the Afterburners are quicker, more efficient, and tuned for riders who want ultimate control in the surf. But their low-drag profile and high efficiency make them equally exceptional for downwind — longer glides, less drag, reduced fatigue over distance.

Afterburner 15.5" — More stability and control, especially when paired with smaller front wings (under 150cm span). The extra span adds hold and composure without sacrificing the Afterburner's signature speed and responsiveness.
