Un foil de descenso con relación de aspecto alta de 13:1, creado a partir del ADN de surf de UniFoil. La eficiencia de un ala verdaderamente de relación de aspecto alta, con la sensación de un foil que quiere surfearse.

La mayoría de los foils de descenso 13:1 te obligan a elegir: eficiencia o la capacidad de surfear realmente la ola cuando encuentras una. El Quest no. Lleva hacia delante el perfil del foil Evolution - el mismo perfil que los riders ya adoran por su fácil control del cabeceo y su planeo - y lo extiende en una planta que bombea durante horas y atraviesa las zonas planas con el tipo de eficiencia que solo se obtiene con una relación 13:1. El resultado es un ala de descenso que no se siente como un ala de descenso. Se siente como un foil de surf que, casualmente, planea para siempre.

Construido sobre un perfil en el que ya confías.

El Quest no parte de cero. Se basa en el perfil del foil Evolution, que se ha ganado su reputación en la gama UniFoil por dos motivos concretos: facilidad para controlar el cabeceo y un planeo excepcional. A medida que aceleras, el ala mantiene un cabeceo neutro durante todo el rango de velocidad - sin tirar del morro hacia abajo ni obligarte a luchar con el foil para mantenerlo en trimado. Déjate llevar por una ola, inclínalo, vuelve a subir por la cara y el ala seguirá la trayectoria que le marques.

Extender ese perfil en una planta con relación 13:1 desbloquea un tipo diferente de eficiencia. La envergadura te lleva por las secciones planas sin perder velocidad. Los ciclos de bombeo se vuelven más largos y silenciosos. El planeo a alta velocidad se amplía. Pero la sensación bajo los pies sigue siendo UniFoil: conectada, predecible, con la misma capacidad de surf que el rider del Evolution ya conoce. Este es el raro foil de descenso que recompensa una conducción agresiva en lugar de penalizarla.

El Quest existe porque los descensos no deberían ser un ejercicio de supervivencia entre olas; deberían ser una serie de olas que conectas, surfeas y vuelves a enlazar. La relación de aspecto 13:1 te ofrece un modo de crucero de bajo esfuerzo cardiovascular para las transiciones, pero el perfil del foil garantiza que, cuando se abre una ola, puedas entrar realmente en ella y surfearla.

Ideal para:

Descenso en SUP - el objetivo de diseño. Envergadura y eficiencia para despegar pronto, planear entre olas y surfear las que merecen la pena.

Parawing - recorre distancias y surfea los swells con un foil que no se siente como un peso muerto en las olas.

Foiling prone con bombeo - el arma para bombear durante horas. Los riders que buscan sesiones de bombeo increíblemente largas en el surf descubrirán que el Quest lleva la energía más lejos que cualquier ala UniFoil anterior.

El Quest está diseñado específicamente para las disciplinas en las que importan tanto la eficiencia como la capacidad de surf. Si tu recorrido de descenso, sesión de parawing o recorrido de bombeo prone es realmente una búsqueda de olas que puedas surfear, este es el ala.

So stoked on the quest 110. Smallest foil I’ve ever had and right away it felt so easy to ride. Such good low and high end. It has the Unifoil dna and super user friendly for how high performance it is.

So I just finished my 2nd session on the 110 Quest. The 1st session was less than stellar. 1st time out, I was doing an upwind / downwind on foildrive. I set it up with a short fuse, Quantum 14 and -.05 shim.
The conditions were pretty gnarly with the wind blowing around 25mph, and serious disorganized conditions. (like 5 different swell and bump directions). I felt like I was on Ozzy Osborne's crazy train. Locked in on tracks that I had no control over. Once I turned around and got off the motor, it felt much better. Still a bit more locked in than I am used to, but gliding and connecting all the way back with almost no pumping was a great feeling. Today: Conditions were much more benign. My goal was to just get out and play with it to get used to it. Setup: short fuse, chopped 14 shiv, 0 shim. (yes the red one). I know, true downwinders are cringing. I just wanted to get it off the train tracks. The bumps coming straight in were pretty good. Wind was under 10mph, I really had no expectations. Did some short laps, (upwind / downwind foildrive again) felt real good. Went out about 1 mile, aced the return. Went out 1.5 miles, aced the return. Wind went to zero, and I kept doing laps, downwinding with no wind. The wing really felt great, could carve turns, great speed, so easy to pump. This wing has just made me a much better downwinder. Looking forward to getting it more dialed in. Thanks Uni. Great wing.
